Our Mission:
As project managers and event experts, acting as ambassadors of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, this team is committed to providing a high level of customer service by using their knowledge, budget and logistical skills, creativity, tenacity and teamwork, resulting in professionally executed projects. This team strives to maintain a fun, flexible environment where they embrace challenge and encourage personal and professional development. When the Meeting and Convention Planning Team manage a project, sponsors are guaranteed excellent customer service, experienced guidance, and successful results.
Our Role:
The team offers a rainbow of full planning services, including:
- vendor negotiation
- budget management
- site selection
- creative theme and messaging development
- participant registration management
- presentation and collateral design
- audio-visual equipment management
- transportation details
- on-site execution
- and much more!
For each event project we work on, the Meeting and Convention Planning Team gains a full understanding of the
goals, objectives and intended results. We then apply our understanding of company goals and objectives, coupled with
our industry experience, to create and execute successful events that reach and exceed our sponsor goals and company
objectives.
The team is lead by Manager Edie DePhillips. Edie along with managing the team handles leadership
events and other special events as determined by leadership such as the recent Divisional Sales Rally’s and HCFG Offsite
and Grand Opening’s for new Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Facilities around the country.
Each meeting planner on the
team has specific client they work for within WFHM and are responsible for all events needed of that client:
Michelle Derwin and Marie Callas work with the Academy to assist HMC’s with their training needs. Michelle works with
the students in the advance courses such as Core Sales Skills, Sales Management Fundamentals and Sales Manager OnBoarding.
Michelle is also assisting with the Wealth Building Seminars sponsored by WFHM and are being held around the country.
Marie works with the brand new consultants who are in Mortgage Fundamentals and Sales Essentials. Marie also handles the
Allianz Junior Pro-Am that is held each year in conjunction with the Allianz Champions Tour Tournament.
Kathleen Gunderson who located in Denison, IA manages conventions and events for REALTOR® groups. The largest of
these events is the National Association of REALTORS Annual Trade show which is attend by over 25,000 REALTORS®, CAR
(California Association of Realtors), Keller Williams, Prudential, RE/MAX, Realty Executives, and WFHM’s NAR Party.
Monica Hearn who is located in the Denver, Colorado works with the Institutional Lending business unit. Monica handles everything from training sessions and executive management meetings to major conventions and trade shows for this group.
Joe Mahoney who is the newest member of the team works on special projects and is in charge of the Mortgage Ware Catalog. Joe helps to determine the products available in Mortgage Ware Catalog along with the layout and design of the catalog each year. Joe is also in the process of enhancing the wfhmconvention.com with new products and our new “At Home” message. The wfhmconvention.com website allows team members to order products such as booths and signage, just what they need to run a successful event.
Kim Owen along with assisting with meetings and events as needed is the “number cruncher” of the team. The reports Kim produces are in most part for the Sales Conference qualification. These reports determine if Branch/Area Mangers and HMCs are invited to the highly coveted Sales Conference each year.
Kim Robinson works with the following WFHM programs: HCS, Builder, Senior Products and Renovation Groups. Kim handles meetings, events and trade shows on behalf of these groups including the International Builders Show which is attended by over 100,000 builders from around the world.
